First built as an artist’s space and gallery this eclectic building and mix of memorabilia creates one of the most intriguing and romantic hideaways in Fremantle. Old bridge and wharf timbers adjoin recycled limestone blocks setting a timeless mood for this sanctuary within the city. The upper level is reached by a sculptural steel staircase opening into the bedroom area where a queen-size bed is fitted with quality bedding and linen. A mezzanine walkway extends into the bathroom and the upstairs lounge. A doorway leads onto a north facing balcony which makes for a warm breakfast spot and connects with the tranquil reading space. Huge glass sliding doors connect this leafy outdoor area to the main beautifully furnished and comfortable living space.
